I am Calandra Terry Epps. The Epps is still very new to me however, I use Terry professionally. I am a newlywed. My husband and I just celebrated our first Anniversary on August 7, 2008. What a wonderful year it has been. As the wife of Reginald Epps, I inherited 4 Rottweilers. My husband absolutely loves animals and breeds and shows Rottweilers. Yes, they are beautiful dogs, but we have not yet established relationships; for you see Iam afraid of Rottweilers. I am working on that in very small baby steps :)
I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Disorders and a Master of Science Degree in Speech Language Pathology. My greatest education accomplishments were graduating as the clinician of the year (undergrad) and obtaining my Masters Degree with a 4.0 GPA. I completed my Clinical Fellowship Year in Jacksonville, FL.
After my CFY, unfortunately I was right sized and as a result, began a career as a Pharmaceutical Sales Rep. One of my greatest professional accomplishments was winning the Vice President's Cabinet Award with Pfizer, which is the highest award a Sales Rep can win with the company. I have also had the honor of winning many other awards as a Pharmaceutical Rep (Circle of Excellence, District Sales Rep of the Year, President's Recognition Award, etc.) I worked as a full time rep for 5years. Currently, I work part time (nineteen hours a week) as a pharmaceutical rep.
Another accomplishment that I am so proud of, was having the privilege of going to Kitale, Kenya two years in a row on a mission trip with Heritage Baptist church. A team of us went to Kitale to help in the building of a Christian school and to witness to the community through outdoor VBS and passing out Bibles. There are no words to describe how those trips touched and changed my life. We are truly a blessed nation.
The final accomplishment that I am proudest of, to date, was quitting my full time pharmaceutical job in July of 2004 and starting An Event To Remember, LLC. I have been blessed in my life with some great experiences. I took something from each of those experiences and poured everything I've ever learned into my business. I have been coordinating weddings for 10 years, professionally four years in Huntsville, AL. I have had so much fun taking something that is my brain child and just watching it grow. I am a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants where I finished their Professional Development Program as a Distinguished Graduate. I have been the Alabama State Coordinator for the ABC for a year and a half. The ABC is the largest organization of Wedding professionals in the world and is very big on education and networking. I attend the Annual Conference each year in November where I am able to learn about new trends in the industry, network with professionals from all over the world, as well as learn how to continually reinvent my business. My mission is to provide each bride with an exceptional experience that she and her friends and family will fondly remember forever. I give God the glory and praise for everything he has blessed me with in my life.
My interests include singing, travelling, going to the movies, spending time with family and friends, and anything dealing with weddings.
